DREAM is a model learning community with high expectations, a strong culture of care and a vision of student success and excellence. DREAM was established in 2008, after our institutional partner, Harlem RBI, recognized the need for better access to education for the East Harlem community. Harlem RBI is a youth development organization with a 22-year history of working in East Harlem.

By the time students graduate our school, they are expected to embody the following school values:

• Mindfulness: We are aware of our needs as learners, our impact on others, and our responsibility to the community.
• All within a Team: We believe in the power of collaboration and community.

At DREAM, we pride ourselves on our strong ties to the community and our understanding of our families' needs. DREAM currently serves kindergarten through fifth grade, and we are growing by one grade each year until we reach capacity at 450 students, grades K-8.
