DREAM Charter School knows that our students reach their full potential when their families are active partners in their children's education. That is why we provide families with multiple opportunities to be involved in our school.
DREAM works hard to ensure that its families share a voice in the ongoing development of the school community and culture. DREAM hosts typical family-teacher conferences and in addition, offers regular potluck dinners in the school's cafeteria and encourages families to attend a weekly community breakfast gathering in which they have the opportunity to meet with the school's teachers and staff.
Moreover, the DREAM Family Action Council (DFAC) meets monthly and provides a forum for parents and staff to gather and openly discuss relevant issues and plans for upcoming community events.

DREAM Health and Wellness Committee
The committee of teachers, school leaders, the school nurse, social work team and family coordinator meets monthly to plan and implement DREAM's health and wellness policy.
DREAM family volunteers make phone calls twice a month to other families in their child's classroom to make families aware of school and classroom events and opportunities for involvement. Families meet twice a month with the Family coordinator to receive call sheets, update call logs and troubleshoot.
This team works closely with the DREAM Director of Operations to recruit new students and families to our school. The Family Recruitment Team assists with informational sessions and gives school tours to incoming families for the purposes of recruitment. The Recruitment team also serves as family liaisons at school welcome events.
