DREAM Charter School believes that every child has unlimited potential and that special needs should not prevent a child from being an active member of their classroom or participating in school activities with their friends.
Every classroom at DREAM has a 1:12 teacher to student ratio, made possible by having two teachers in each room. To make sure every student reaches their potential, DREAM uses “inclusion model” of co-teaching teams, which partners each general education teacher with a teacher certified in either Special Education or English as a Second Language. This model provides two co-teaching teams on each grade level and ensures that every child, from those who are academically gifted to those who require additional support, is nurtured and cared for within a general education classroom setting.
DREAM also has a full time school Social Worker and Guidance Counselor on staff who work with students daily.
