Hours of operation

DREAM has extended school hours and an extended year to ensure students have every opportunity to succeed.

 

Extended School Day

Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm

Fridays 8:00am to 3:00pm

 

Extended School Year

Term dates: August 28, 2012-June 25, 2013

Six-week mandatory summer program, July - August

 

Grades currently served

DREAM currently serves 300 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. DREAM is growing by one grade each year (50 students) until it reaches capacity at 450 students, grades K-8.

DREAM is currently located on the fourth and fifth floors of 232 East 103rd Street, New York, NY 10029. DREAM and its institutional partner, Harlem RBI, are in the process of securing a new, joint facility nearby in East Harlem.

DREAM has a uniform dress code. Please see the family handbook for information.


community Breakfast

Community Breakfast happens every day from 8:00am-8:25am. The breakfast allows families to eat with their children and for students to share a meal with their teachers, classroom assistants and classmates.

 

community gathering

DREAM meets as a school-wide community every Monday morning from 8:30-9:00am. DREAM welcomes family members to attend. During these meetings, students are awarded attendance certificates and other special recognitions. dream family action council

DREAM families are welcome to participate in the DREAM Family Action Council. The council meets monthly and provides a forum for parents and staff to gather and openly discuss relevant issues and plans for upcoming community events.
